Event Eight

When: Friday 19th-Sunday 21st October, 2012
Where: Sherratt’s Wood Scout Campsite, Morrilow Heath, Leigh. Staffordshire. ST10 4PF
Cost: £45 if you book before the end of June 2012, £55 if you book in July or August 2012, £60 thereafter. Discounts will be available to those booking for Events Seven and Eight together before the end of February 2012 (£10 off the total) or to those referring a new player (£5 off the event after the one your recruit attends). If you booked for Event Seven before 19th December 2012, you are still eligible for the “multi-book” discount.
Numbers: A maximum of 60 players, with at least half as many crew again (so 30+)
Crewing: We’d love for people to crew! It’ll be free, and we will do our best to look after you with lots of snacks and awesome NPC roles. We may not be able to offer indoor sleeping for crew this time – details ASAP.
Accommodation: Players will need to bring tents in which to camp. There will be no indoor accommodation available for players.

Other important stuff: Character generation is exactly as per the system documents. We’d prefer that everyone be part of one of the rebel factions (Dawning Light, Fangs of Karg, Free Thought Radicals, Velvet Glove, Wayfarers’ Guild and the Woldscar Volunteer Force). Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone in the faction: we’ll put you in touch with other people wanting to play characters in the same group as you before the event. Once we receive a solid idea of the character you want to play, we’ll send you additional briefing sheets on your race, faction, and any Faith/Magic you might have.

Catering: The Caterporium will be providing catering for this event. Meal tickets will be £23 each, covering meals from Friday night through to Sunday breakfast, and must be bought in advance.

With lumberjack insurgents still harrying the nascent Free State, and an army of fire-spewing automata lining up for battle on its eastern edge, the mighty forest is in great peril.
